When learning anything new there is always new terminology and as with all new things it is essential when learning about computing that you understand terminology as part of learning your computer skills and this basic computer training tutorial helps by identifying the parts of an application window. The basic computer lesson is suitable for any beginner, senior, novice and for anyone looking to qualify in The European Computer Driving Licence (ECDL) the lesson covers elements 3.1 and 3.3 of the Equalskills section.

The computer lesson shows an ordinary Wordpad document and explains the various parts of the Wordpad window, the titlebar, the menubar, Wordpad toolbar (also known as the Ribbon), scroll bars and the status bar.
